ABOUT US

Hospitality by tradition

Our guesthouse was built in 1965 as the Kurz guesthouse and wine bar in the beautiful Wiesental valley in Brandenberg. Now run by the 3rd generation, the next generation is already waiting in the wings. After the old Black Forest farmhouse belonging to it fell victim to a fire in 1984 and had to be demolished, a separate flat block was built for it in 1990. In 2005, the kitchen was enlarged, the toilet facilities were renovated and left at ground level, 2 rooms were enlarged and 2 new rooms were added. With our wood chip heating system, we have been able to make a major contribution to regional sustainability since 2008. Interior remodelling of the bar area in November 2019 with renovation of the guest room. In spring 2020, we built a beautiful conservatory from our terrace so that our guests can look out over the beautiful Wiesental valley at any time of year. Smaller renovations and redesigns are always carried out during the November holidays.

Hotel Landgasthaus Kurz is one of the nature park innkeepers in the southern Black Forest. We mainly use products from our region, from controlled production. We vouch for this honest, trustworthy regional flavour. We live for assured origin, species-appropriate animal husbandry, short, gentle transport routes and careful processing. This ensures fresh, high quality and a sustainable approach to our cultural and natural landscape. At the same time, we embody the traditional Baden gastronomy and kitchen culture. We also support our natural environment as a biosphere area partner.

WE LOVE OUR NATURE - THAT'S WHY WE RELY ON CLIMATE-NEUTRAL ENERGY

We heat exclusively with our wood chip heating system and our wood-burning stove in the kitchen. A solar system on our flat block provides additional hot water. Electricity is sourced from natural energy. Use the cone, leave your car at home and travel for free by bus and train throughout the Black Forest.
